88Keys Music School

RICHMOND HILL

About Us:

I am a small business owner located in Richmond Hill. I would like to offer my time to assist in whatever capacity I can.

What We Can Offer

Data, reporting, and technology to provide timely, relevant and accurate information to clinicians conducting vaccine administration, decision-makers, and the public

Details

I would like to express my interest in volunteering my time to assist with the upcoming COVID-19 Vaccination project. Given the magnitude and complexity of this unprecedented undertaking, and based on my 20+ years of experience with project and operation management, I can definitely appreciate the amount of effort and coordination it will require.
I understand that there is already a team in place to coordinate the effort, but resources are always an issue with any project, so here I am, happy to volunteer my time, knowledge, and expertise.
Here is a brief overview of my experience:

1998: I came to Canada with a Computer engineering degree and started my first job as a software engineer at Marsh Canada Limited.
1999- 2003: Was offered a full-time job and was promoted to Business Analyst. During my time as a BA, I was involved in numerous multi-million, international projects and was quickly promoted to Senior BA and subsequently to the team lead.
2003 – 2007: I have been promoted to a Project Management position and assumed responsibilities for running various IT projects from conception to delivery. My main responsibilities included: managing all stakeholders, developing and implementing project delivery milestones, identifying and managing project risks, managing resources (business, it, sponsors, etc), and managing all project-related communication.
2007 – 2013: I have accepted a job offer from Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company (RSA) and transitioned to the role of Senior Project Manager. During my 6 years at RSA, I have successfully managed multiple strategic and time-sensitive projects, was promoted to the Project Management Practice Lead and have successfully established Project Management Practice in the Business Intelligence department, including developing Master Plans for all in-flight projects, managing resources amongst competing projects, managing competing objectives and stakeholders expectations.
2013-now: Despite a very promising career at RSA, in January of 2013, I have decided to explore a path of a business owner and have acquired a music school located in Richmond Hill. Without any music background, it was proven to be one of the most challenging projects at the time. Within the first 6 months, we have moved from a small 2 rooms-on-the-second-floor space to a big, 6 rooms, corner unit down the street. The number of students has grown from 120 to 400 with the studio running at 90% capacity. We became very well known in the community, we won Richmond Hill Best Small Business Award in 2017 and have been steadily keeping our Top Three Rated ranking for the past 3 years.
March 2020: When COVID-19 hit us in March of 2020 and we were required to close our doors, I only had 1 week to realize that the lockdown will go beyond the original 2 weeks and I only had 3 weeks to:
1) come up with a plan to transition all lessons to the online format
2) figure out the equipment that will be required to maintain the quality of the sound
3) figure out how to amend the lesson structure for the group classes
4) conduct proof-of-concept
5) communicate the plan to the teachers
6) conduct teacher’s training and development guidelines
7) purchase all the necessary equipment which was a challenge on its own since nothing was available at the time
8) deliver the equipment to all teachers and help them to set up online studios at their homes
9) communicate the online approach to the clients
10) host information session to address clients’ concerns
11) Finally launch the online program for the entire school on April 4th, 2020

We managed to complete the school year with 99% of the clients remaining in the program and not dropping out, but this project was far away from being over. I called it a Phase 1 COVID adaptation.
The need for Phase 2 became obvious in late April. Once things have settled down with our quick switch to online program delivery, it was clear that a more robust solution must be in place for September. No one thought that the COVID situation will go beyond summer, but I could clearly see the risks with common cold and flu season and how that will impact clients’ willingness to come.
So I have decided to transform the school to support a hybrid model for lesson delivery, where students can attend in-person or join their respective classes online. This model would have allowed us to accommodate two distinct client groups: those that were comfortable to resume in-person lessons and those that preferred to stay on the side of caution.
My Phase 2 of COVID adaptation began in late April and by mid-May, I had a clear plan of WHAT needs to be done, but no clue on HOW to do it. Fast forward 3 months, in July of 2020 – the classroom optimizations were completed with all classrooms equipped with computers, 3 different cameras to provide different views to remote attendees, mixers, wireless microphones, and other equipment to run ZOOM lessons. All classrooms were equipped with sanitation stations, disinfecting guidelines, posters and signs. We were 100% ready to resume in September regardless of the format.
My ability to foresee the risks, properly assess its potential impact, and implement a contingency plan, has paid off. Our client retention rate is at 80% of pre-COVID numbers.
I have received numerous compliments from our clients for being pro-active, adaptive, and successfully managing the school through its most challenging times.

The reason for the above is not to put me in a spot-light and praise, but rather to give you an idea of my personality, my skills, my ability for critical thinking, ability to organize a team and manage customers’ expectations, provide clear and concise communication and manage all kinds of projects.
With school allowed to re-open, my admin staff is back and I am able and will be delighted to volunteer my time with assisting the region/province with the vaccine distribution project. I can volunteer between 20- 30 hours a week (more time can be attributed to critical phases).
I speak Russian, English, and Hebrew.

Thank you for your consideration.
Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely yours
Yana

Cisco Systems

Toronto

About Us:

Cisco helps seize the opportunities of tomorrow by proving that amazing things can happen when you connect the unconnected. An integral part of our DNA is creating long-lasting customer partnerships, working together to identify our customers' needs and provide solutions that fuel their success. Cisco healthcare solutions have placed over 17,000 healthcare organizations on the cutting edge of holistic, technology-enabled care.

What We Can Offer

Data, reporting, and technology to provide timely, relevant and accurate information to clinicians conducting vaccine administration, decision-makers, and the public

Details

During the past nine months, Cisco has been powering an inclusive recovery through efficient vaccine administration; helping essential organizations stand up the technology and communications needed by medical and healthcare facilities, retail pharmacies, essential government services, and other frontline efforts. And, today, Cisco continues to do its part as a trusted technology partner. We’re helping enable vaccine administration by improving three key functions—communications and access, field operations and administration, and security and application performance.

**Communications and access**
By providing communications and access solutions—such as Cisco Webex and Webex Contact Center—we’re enabling better patient access and outreach, better care provider and administrative collaboration, and more virtual engagements. We’re also providing a more comprehensive way for government agencies, healthcare facilities, and retail sites to efficiently scale their efforts to address increased volume and equitable access to critical information and services.

**Field operations and administration**
With field operations and administration solutions—like networking, WiFi analytics, video, collaboration, and cloud-delivered location services and security—we’re helping organizations respond to dynamic community needs, set up field hospitals and mobile clinics, provide equitable access, improve citizen experiences, and simplify equipment monitoring.

**Security and application performance**
Finally, our innovative security and application performance tools—among them, application monitoring and management, IoT sensors, cameras, and cloud-enabled security—are ensuring the safety, security, privacy, performance, and compliance necessary for organizations to successfully administer vaccines and operate efficiently around the clock.

As you can imagine, vaccine administration systems will likely remain under immense pressure until the millions of people who need vaccinations get them. So, it is vital for government, healthcare, and retail organizations to keep these mission-critical services running as smoothly as technologically possible. That, as it turns out, is our strong suit.

Keep in mind, performing in this capacity is nothing new for Cisco. All of the solutions and use cases mentioned above are customer-validated and proven.

As it always has, Cisco provides its customers with solutions that help people and communities access technology, information, advice, and anything else they might require. We were here for our customers before the pandemic. We’re here for them today as we navigate our way through COVID-19 together. And as any trusted partner should, we will be here for our customers tomorrow to take on whatever comes next. That’s why so many leaders around the world, across all levels of government, healthcare, and retail, have trusted and relied on us to stand by them through their ongoing digital transformation efforts.

Esri Canada

Toronto

About Us:

Esri Canada provides geographic information system (GIS) solutions used for mapping, analyzing and sharing data. Our solutions enable users to look at various data through the lens of location, helping them uncover new patterns and trends. Esri technology powers the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 Dashboard (https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html), which has been named by TIME magazine as one of the Top 100 Inventions of 2020 and the go-to data source for global COVID-19 information. The site has received over 2 trillion web requests and billions of visits as the virus spread rapidly in 2020. It has become an important resource for elected officials, public health leaders, media and the public to understand the global spread and impact of COVID-19 and inform policy decisions.
Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak in Canada, our company has provided free data, maps, dashboards and other resources to help organizations and Canadians better understand and respond to the pandemic through our COVID-19 Canada Resources Hub (https://resources-covid19canada.hub.arcgis.com/). The hub has received more than 2.3 million visits since launch and receives an average of 5,000 visits per day. Government at all levels – federal, provincial, local – as well as media (Global News, The Weather Network) and other organizations use the data and resources we provide to enhance their pandemic reporting and response.
We helped the Public Health Agency of Canada build a public interactive case map and data summary dashboard, which they used in spring 2020 to report about Canadian outbreaks. We continue to work with them on building internal dashboards for decision support. We also work with the federal government including the Department of National Defence to optimize the routing/delivery of vaccine supplies across Canada, especially to rural, remote and Indigenous communities.
Six provinces (BC, MB, SK, NB, NS, NL) and numerous municipalities in Ontario (Peel Region, Algoma Region, Toronto, Mississauga, Hamilton, Burlington, Caledon, to name a few) and across the country use Esri technology to inform decisions about COVID-19 and engage their communities in their pandemic response.

What We Can Offer

Data, reporting, and technology to provide timely, relevant and accurate information to clinicians conducting vaccine administration, decision-makers, and the public

Details

We would like to offer our services to help Ontario public health units map, monitor, analyze and communicate the progress of vaccination delivery in their communities through a Vaccination Tracker Dashboard. A critical component of this is data, which will need to be provided to us by the health units. The dashboards will be hosted by Esri Canada at no cost to the public health units.
The Vaccination Tracker Dashboard will be similar to the Canadian Outbreak Tracker Dashboard (https://resources-covid19canada.hub.arcgis.com/app/eb0ec6ffdb654e71ab3c758726c55b68) we built, which tracks COVID-19 cases and highlights hotspots across the country.

Why should Ontario Public Health Units work with Esri Canada?
We have a broad set of tools and content to provide context to ‘raw’ case and vaccination numbers, and demographics to help with prioritization of at-risk (vulnerable) groups.
We have logistics and routing tools to increase the efficiency of vaccination and PPE supplies delivery.
We have experience with spatial analysis of health data.
We are a leader in public engagement – 100+ communities in Canada use our hub technology to engage their constituents in government initiatives.
Esri technology meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) compliance.

Internal Consulting Group Canada Ltd

Toronto

About Us:

We are an innovation management consultancy based in Ontario. We do a lot of work in the innovation and ideation space with some unique research based views on the subject. We have a simple (virtual) ideation tool in our toolkit that helps groups to virtually collaborate on issues and come up with solutions

What We Can Offer

Data, reporting, and technology to provide timely, relevant and accurate information to clinicians conducting vaccine administration, decision-makers, and the public

Details

One of the central issues with the pandemic is problem solving, and a further complication is the vast number of people who have opinions on what the issues are, how to proceed, fix issues, save the planet, etc. I'm sure you've experienced this in your region, and now provincially. Really all anyone wants to do is to contribute, some are scared, etc., etc. but we want it to be constructive and generate real value.

We are an international innovation management consultancy with a base in Ontario. We do a lot of work in the innovation and ideation space with some unique research based views on the subject. We have a simple (virtual) ideation tool in our toolkit that helps groups to collaborate on issues and come up with solutions. We've worked with a number of organizations to support them in engaging with their stakeholders -- on big issues, and small -- all with the benefit of engagement and participation, and being heard. Some early samples of efforts to demonstrate results included an initiative with SAP focused on Earth Day called Fix the Planet, a program with the Forestry industry in Europe called "What wood you do?", and a number of others in the private sector for organizations big and small who were looking to get their arms around an issue, develop a shared view of the future, etc.

Putting up a "contribution site" is quite easy (and quick) and our open ideation approach enables open innovation (that is anyone can contribute) or defined (with a set of specific stakeholders) and integrates well with other sites as part of a broader program. The engine to analyze the data sits behind the contribution site to facilitate and curate insights and engage with participants towards the "big ideas".

If you go to: https://innovation360.com/offers/ideation-management-platform/ you will see details and an example of a site -- The Future of Work. You can find the Forestry site at https://whatwoodyoudo.eu/ and the SAP/UN Fix the Planet campaign at https://fix-the-planet.com/

MCG Canada Inc.

Contact: cliu@vuila.ca

Markham

About Us:

By collaborating with MIT PathCheck Foundation, MCG Canada can help in the following aspects:
1: For the Registration process, we can add SMS registration, Web registration and APP (Cellphone) registration, in addition to the current on-site registration.
2: For the Scheduling process, we can add Digital Coupons, SMS/E-mail notifications and SMS Scheduling, in addition to paper coupons.
3: For the Administration process, we can add Scanner APP to the current Portal and Vaccine Credential (if you have), or even just paperwork, to notify of the schedule for the second dose.
4: For the Monitoring process, we can add Symptoms Reporting and Adverse Reaction Dashboard.

We believe we can contribute to the current system. In order not to interrupt the current system, the way we contribute is to add an adjacent system aside to provide all other services needed.

What We Can Offer

Support for health care system partners to deliver a phased vaccination program that initially prioritizes vulnerable populations and follows with mass immunization, Data, reporting, and technology to provide timely, relevant and accurate information to clinicians conducting vaccine administration, decision-makers, and the public

Details

1.
In order to analyze the immune response to vaccination using real world data, our system can provide an efficient and private approach to let the patients report their immune response after the vaccine is injected. We will have the mobile application developed and have the common responses listed with checkboxes. The people who would like to report their immune response can give their feedback easily. In this part, we need to conduct the research for the user-interface and user-experience design so the application should be customizable for different preferences. For the patients who do not want to use mobile applications, we also have the web version for this purpose. Patients after receiving the vaccine shot will be given the code to login the system online and set their passwords. The system can also have the emergency contact number for emergency help purposes. The contact number can also receive the immune response questionnaire and take the response by SMS.
2.
Our solution can also help the residents in Ontario to have the real time update about the vaccination and immunization processes in Ontario. As mentioned above, the system consists with the mobile application, web application, SMS, and QR paper card. As long as the patient has the Internet, they can get the update from the government and can also ask questions and express their concerns. This would significantly relieve the misinformation we may encounter. The QR code will be given to each vaccine receiver. So, even if the patient forgets his/her credentials logging the system, they can use the QR code to join back.
3.
With research and proposed solutions, we can protect the patients’ privacy and meanwhile know some information about the patients to improve the equality of the vaccine distribution. With the applications on mobile devices or on the web, patents can register and indicate their living areas. The information will be protected and used only to improve the vaccine distributions and keep the fairness between communities.
4.
We have already developed the vaccine distribution tracking system that uses the Internet of Things devices (e.g., thermometer, GPS) to reduce the waste of valuable vaccines. The system is already online. We are now collaborating with MIT Pathcheck to deploy the patients services solution to help the residents in Ontario. The solution has been tested in 5 states in the US. To protect the user’s privacy, we have conducted the research of using blockchain technology to protect the patient's identification. A smart contract has also been developed and being tested.

Provincial Building & Construction Trades Council of Ontario

Toronto

About Us:

The Provincial Building and Construction Trades Council of Ontario is an organization that represents 12 craft unions in the construction sector, totaling 150,000 workers throughout the province. Our mission is to give construction workers a collective voice in the workplace, to help ensure that workers are well-trained to meet industry needs, and to promote healthy and safe work conditions with decent wages, pensions and benefits. Part of our success stems from the effective partnerships we have established with our signatory contractors and owner-clients who work with our affiliates to achieve public and private infrastructure needs.

What We Can Offer

Implementation of broad and sustained public education and community outreach effort to encourage vaccination

Details

As a Provincial Building Trades Council, we are able to support efforts towards helping educate our members in collaboration with our industry partners, about vaccinations and the importance of helping to contain the Coronavirus at construction workplaces. This may include countering misinformation. For example, due to the risk of construction work (in specific situations, in health and long-term care facilities that need construction and maintenance work to be performed in order to continue their operations), employers may require mandatory vaccinations of construction workers, as a legitimate, bona fide occupational requirement under the 'general duty' clause in Section 25 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Our Council can play a constructive role towards educating the construction workforce about the importance of being vaccinated to help end the COVID-19 pandemic in Ontario. Once the government, with the advice of public health authorities, determines the protocols for vaccination delivery, Building Trades Training Centres may be made available to construction workers and their families to get vaccinated. In addition, the Building Trades and our employer partners, along with public health authorities and the government, may establish mobile vaccination clinics to help deliver the vaccines in rural areas of the province. Please note that offering up Building Trades Training Centres and/or mobile vaccination units would only be made available once any and all potential liability issues and core costs for the delivery of the vaccines are clarified.
